Wow! I was 8 years old when this was out.
Music is very much part of my daily life, so why don't you join me as I chart my life with a different song everyday.

This is ace!!!!
I have been judged and criticised more times than I care to remember about my witchy self not being a rock chick. I have to laugh at the ideas of some people. However, I do like certain rock songs - note I say songs here - and this one in particular by Linkin Park is really very good.

Good question.
I was asked yesterday why I had said my husband was my hero. It is obvious to me, and to a select few, but not everyone can comprehend the man with the bad heart as a hero.
When I met my husband I was in a very bad place. I had been raped at knife-point and was battling solvent abuse and bulimia. Fast forward 14 years and I was back struggling with bulimia after the stupidest choice of my life.
But he saved me.
It's as simple as that.
He believed in me.
He loved me.
He was there for me, doing what was necessary to help me overcome my demons. And for that he is a true hero.

Warrior women and Male Heroes.
OK, so maybe I'm getting a little carried away with the warriors and heroes theme, but who cares?
On my other blog I have been discussing warrior women and that got me thinking about my hero. I guess when you read my other blog you could be forgiven for thinking I don't actually have one, but I do.
In real life my hero is my husband - and of course any member of the armed forces. My sporting hero is David Beckham and my fictional heroes.....well I have a long list of them; Clark Kent, Luke Skywalker, Sam and Dean Winchester, Jacob Black and who could not love Wyatt and Chris Halliwell?
From a darker point of view I just love Edward Cullen, Angel, Cole Turner and Anakin Skywalker.
It was a tough choice picking not one but two songs for today's blog post. The first represents my favourite fictional warrior women and the second is the man (fictional) who I think makes the perfect hero.

Something different for today.
I never usually do anything like this, but I thought it was time for a change.
Today is Lughnasadh or Lammas. It is the first harvest festival of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and marks the end of the growing season.
